A real shoe treat with its beautiful grained calf loafer line and simple, golden buckle. Our Villalys is all about taste, giving that decisive finish to the silhouette twist fresh cool nonchalance & a touch of powdery elegance.

Again, it’s a matter of taste. The Villalys probably draws its timelessness from the source of a very French taste: this archetypal design with a single buckle is oh so classic and goes back a long way in our history so much so that our ancestors already wore such shoes in some paintings of the 17th century that we like to call « Grand Siècle« . A shoe suspended in time, sheltered from fashion hysteria, reborn constantly and already ahead of its time. Such a shoe allows a kaleidoscope of styles.

Rarely has a pair of Malfroid shoes opened the imagination so much. Comfortable in every way thanks to its Superleggera sole, soft and light as a feather. Such an innovative sole is a promise of impressive flexibility as it is thinner and lighter than our classic soles. The whole behavior of the shoe is radically changed: walking is pleasant, as if stripped of the superfluous.

Walk confidently, this shoe is the salt of your outfit. It’s up to you to invent its best version.

– Insert raw wood shoe trees into your shoes as soon as you take them off: They absorb moisture and preserve the integrity and shape of the shoe.

– Use a shoehorn for your comfort and to protect the heel counter of the shoe.

– Alternate your pairs of shoes as much as possible, as the leather needs to dry properly to remain supple and maintain its shape. Never leave your pair near a source of heat or humidity.

– Regularly wipe your shoes with a dry cloth or give them a quick brushing.

– Use Saphir Médaille d’Or lotion every five to ten wears. It cleans and nourishes the leather: this is an essential and regular maintenance step. Saphir Médaille d’Or Pommadier cream (neutral or in the shoe's color) is a complementary, more nourishing treatment.

– Once your shoes are clean and hydrated, apply a little Saphir Médaille d’Or polish to provide extra protection and a shiny finish. Finally, buff using a chamois cloth or a soft-bristled brush.

– For a mirror shine (glacage), emulsify by alternating layers of polish and fine droplets of water, only on the rigid parts of the shoe. This process requires time and precision. Run a nylon, wool, or cashmere stocking over a finished mirror shine.
