Delivery policy
Delivery area
We deliver to mainland France and Monaco, to the countries of the European Union and to many other countries. The list of countries served appears at checkout; if yours is not listed, write to us at contact@malfroid.com. We do not deliver to a P.O. box or a post office, nor to countries or territories subject to sanctions or an embargo.
Delivery methods, costs and lead times
Orders are shipped by Chronopost with a tracking number sent by email. Depending on the country, you can choose home delivery, hand delivery against signature (if you are not at home, the parcel is left at a nearby pick-up point) or delivery to a Pickup relay point. Delivery costs depend on the destination country and the method chosen; they are displayed before you confirm your order.
The following indicative lead times run from the confirmation of the order:
- Mainland France and Monaco: 3 business days.
- European Union: 6 business days.
- Other countries, French overseas territories: up to 8 business days, excluding customs clearance times.
These lead times may be extended, in particular depending on the delivery address, in Corsica and overseas, or in the event of circumstances beyond our control. In the event of a delay, you may formally require us in writing to deliver within an additional reasonable period. If delivery does not take place within that period, you may cancel your order and be refunded all sums paid no later than fourteen (14) days after the cancellation.
Store pick-up
At checkout, you can choose to collect your order free of charge from one of our stores. If the product has to be transferred from another store, the time it takes to be made available is shown at checkout. An email lets you know as soon as your order is ready.
Receipt of your parcel
Check the condition of the parcel on delivery and state any reservations to the courier if there is an anomaly (opened parcel, damaged product). Then notify Customer Service at contact@malfroid.com as soon as possible, with photos. If the parcel is returned to us because it was not collected or received, the costs of re-shipping or returning it are at your expense and may be deducted from any refund.
Outside the European Union and overseas territories
Customs duties, taxes, and clearance and formality costs set by the destination country may be added to the price and the delivery costs. Depending on the country, they are calculated and added to your order at checkout: their amount is then itemised before you confirm, and you have nothing to pay on delivery.
For other countries, you are the importer: these sums must be paid on delivery or before the parcel is handed over, to the carrier or the local authorities. We cannot know the amount in advance: please check with your country’s customs authorities before ordering. If these sums are not paid and the parcel is returned to us, the outbound and return costs are at your expense and are deducted from the refund of the price of the products.
In the French overseas departments, regions and territories, local taxes (octroi de mer, local VAT depending on the territory) and customs clearance costs may apply.
