Desert boots Izoard "Loft" – Kaki suede

Limited edition

Loft the way you walk.

A large drawing table, few select pieces of furniture, wood, chrome, a switched-on synthesizer and very cool speakers set on a simple concrete floor in a space with no walls nor delineations.

Here, everything is very wide and everything is very high. Clear, clean volumes. A few pencils, white porcelain in bright display cases, hot tea & silence. Bliss. A high up canopy distributes a soft and beautiful light. One can see the white clouds, high above.

Time seems to have stopped..

There’s a man (is he an architect? Is he an artist?) in loose, comfortable clothing. He is free to move with ease & free to create, light-headed. He could come sit over here, crouch there, run, draw, sing, sleep or be silent. He surely is in his best possible disposition. He raises his arms and creates a dance step. Then, he is a dancer, right?

A nonchalant figure, supreme relaxation in everything, with nothing standing in his way. Nothing at all. Especially not his Malfroid Loft series.

In just 4 letters, the Loft collection restores the meaning comfort to its true meaning: these newcomers are supple, light, stripped of the superfluous. They are the perfect daily shoes.

Comfort, style and Malfroid quality… the rest is secondary.

To achieve this level of softistication, every detail counts:

The exclusive choice of suede calfskin because it is the softest. A crepe rubber sole, soft as a muffin.
A San Crispino welt: solid and loose seam, extremely flexible for a round fit.
Zero shell (the reinforcement which sits usually under the leather upper & stiffens the back and front parts of the shoe): this technical choice is a first for Malfroid. The absence of reinforcements induces a totally soft and unconstrained fit. The behavior of the shoe is transformed. Yours too: the feeling of relaxation spreads to the whole body.

The silhouette is relaxed. All is good & mellow.

You’ll have to put them on to believe it. Sneakers now have very serious contenders.

The Loft collection by Malfroid: yeah, everything just… flows.

– Insert raw wood shoe trees into your shoes as soon as you take them off: They absorb moisture and preserve the integrity and shape of the shoe.

– Use a shoehorn for your comfort and to protect the shoe’s heel counter.

– Rotate your pairs of shoes as much as possible because leather needs to dry properly to remain supple and maintain its shape. Never leave your pair near a source of heat or moisture.

– Brush the leather regularly with a special suede brush, before or after each outing. Use a Saphir waterproofing spray every 2 to 3 months to ensure its protection.

– In case of stains, shampoo using a clean brush and a mixture of lukewarm water and Saphir Médaille d’Or Omni’Nettoyant. For grease stains, sprinkle with Terre de Sommières. Let dry on shoe trees and then brush when dry.
