The desert boot: oasis of style
Technically speaking this new Izoard has the last 437 which is used for the first time in our collection as well as leather colors inspired by the primary and subtle tones of earth, moss and vegetation. Colors of an accuracy and elegance that you will appreciate… on this version, the velvet calf taupe is a beauty, reminiscent of the velvety fur of the Weimaraner, a dog also known as the grey ghost.
Mounted on a beautiful ST Moritz rubber sole, its tip is well rounded and the overall impression is comfort.
The desert boot is undoubtedly the most emblematic man’s shoe. It contains both the questions and answers to our journey toward masculine style. It is quite an ancient model (more than 200 years old, some say). Simple and robust, it seems to have known various eras, several uses: sports (polo) then military with various types of sole (crepe, leather, gum) & shape.
Adored by many, it is the perfect companion of a light, chic outfit in summer (a polo shirt, cotton pants), softer and warmer but just as casual in winter. Think velvet jacket, tweed, a turtleneck, a well-cut English shirt with fancy stripes, jeans or comfortable wool pants. Nice thick socks. Then a tweed or flannel cap, paperboy or of another shape, but our Malfroid baseball cap should be perfect too.
Absolutely in-dis-pen-sable shoes, all-year-rounder, easy, with a spirit à la Miles Davis (who, yes, wore them), Steve McQueen, Jarvis Cocker, Dylan, Scott Walker right down to the bondificient Daniel Craig. We could also mention Woody Allen, who wore them with a lot of chic & nonchalance.
This spirit is something simple and difficult: it’s the cool.
